Turckheim bei Colmar ist für uns eine alljährliche Anlaufstation zum Beginn der Campingsaison. Neben gepflegter elsässischen Küche gibt es hier noch eine ganz spezielle Attraktion: ein leibhaftiger Nachtwächter durchstreift spätabends noch das Dorf.

Every year at the beginning of the camping season we visit Turckheim near Colmar. The local meals are famous and excellent, and besides that there is another unique attraction: a real night watchman is going his round at late evening.

Bei gewissen zwischenmenschlichen Aktionen sollte man sich hier besonders vorsehen, denn es wimmelt hier geradezu von Störchen!

A bird which has become rather rare in many parts of Europe is found here numerously: the stork.
