Das idyllische Hafenstädtchen Dingle gibt der gleichnamigen Halbinsel den Namen.

The little town Dingle gives its name to the whole area.

In Richtung Westen wird die Küste immer schroffer.

In the West the coast becomes more steep.

Zackige Nadeln formen das Ufer.

Near the coastline there are sharp needles.

Inmitten der Steilküste gibt es aber auch kleine Sandstrände.

Amidst the steep coast there are small sand beaches.

Ganz im Westen der Halbinsel liegt der westlichste Punkt Europas (wenn man mal von Island absieht). Dort gibt es einen schönen Sandstrand, der die hartgesottenen Schwimmer bei höchstens 15°C Wassertemperatur ins Wasser lockt. Nach längerer Anlaufzeit habe ich es auch gepackt :-)

Quite in the West of Dingle there is the westernmost point of Europe (with the exception of Iceland). There is a nice sand beach where you can swim in the water with a maximum of 15°C. I also did it after a long time of trying :-)
