Die Inselgruppe der Lofoten liegt nordwestlich von Bodø. Der Hauptort ist Svolvær. Typisch sind die schroffen Bergformationen, die teilweise über 1000 m hoch sind.

The Lofoten islands are situated in the northwest of Bodø. The main village is Svolvær. The rough mountains which reach more than 1000 m are typical for this scenery.

Die Lofoten sind ein idealer Ort, um die Mitternachtssonne zu fotografieren, da man hier leicht Orte findet, wo in Blickrichtung Norden das Meer liegt.

Die vorliegende Aufnahme entstand durch Mehrfachbelichtung des selben Filmstücks im Abstand von 20 Minuten. Die „mittlere Sonne“ wurde um Mitternacht aufgenommen (wegen der Sommerzeit um 1 Uhr). Es wurde ein Objektiv mit 50 mm Brennweite verwendet.

The Lofoten islands are an ideal location for taking photos of the midnight sun, because here it's easy to find places from where the sea is in northern direction.

This picture was created by taking several exposures onto the same piece of film at a distance of 20 minutes. The „center sun“ was photographed at midnight (at 1 am because of daylight saving time). A 50 mm objective was used.
